The Instructional Assistant supports students with special education needs in KIPP DC Innovate Virtual Academy’s virtual classrooms, working alongside the Lead Teacher to make learning accessible and responsive to individual needs. The role involves providing small-group and one-on-one instructional support, reinforcing key concepts, and implementing accommodations and modifications aligned with students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). This hybrid position requires one day onsite and four days remote per week, with work hours typically spanning 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. two days per week and 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. three days per week.
