Accountant I

The Accountant I role involves balancing and updating general ledger and subsidiary accounts while maintaining and reconciling accounts on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. This position is responsible for researching and resolving discrepancies, ensuring compliance with credit union policies and generally accepted accounting practices, and assisting other departments with accounting interpretations. The role also includes preparing management and regulatory reports, performing month-end and quarter-end activities, and managing accounts payable processes.
