Accountant III

The Accountant III is a professional accounting position responsible for managing, supervising, or executing key payroll or program/grant accounting operations within the Finance Division. This role provides fiscal oversight, ensures compliance with GAAP and state fiscal rules, and advises leadership on financial matters related to general accounting and payroll administration. The position may serve as a Unit Supervisor, Payroll Accountant, Grant Program Accountant, or Lead, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial activities.
