Mass Union of Public Housing Tenants is a Massachusetts-based grassroots advocacy organization representing residents of public housing and other low-income housing. The group mobilizes tenants to organize, demand safer, more affordable, and better-maintained homes, and to participate directly in decisions affecting their communities. It conducts policy advocacy at state and local levels, monitors housing conditions, and supports leadership development for tenant organizers. Through coalition-building with allied groups, it seeks systemic housing-policy changes that strengthen tenants’ rights and reduce disparities in publicly subsidized housing.
