Accounting Supervisor

The Accounting Supervisor implements accounting practices and procedures while supervising a group of general accountants or accounting clerks in maintaining the general ledger. This role involves compiling, reviewing, and analyzing complex financial information, as well as identifying control weaknesses and communicating them to management. The position requires coaching and mentoring staff, assigning work based on skills and developmental needs, and assessing performance. Additionally, the supervisor designs and maintains accounting systems to ensure adequate recognition of financial transactions.
