About this role

The Activity Aide provides quality support and care for individuals attending the Adult Day Programs by implementing planned program activities within the framework of continuous Quality Improvement and VON philosophy. The role involves collaborating with the team to develop and evaluate service plans, facilitating social and recreational programs, and assisting clients with activities of daily living. This position ensures a safe and secure environment while promoting the goals and values of the organization.

Responsibilities

Implement planned programs of activities within continuous Quality Improvement framework
Develop and revise service plans for clients in collaboration with families and internal team
Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living and ensure safety and security measures

Qualifications

Diploma or Certificate from a Community College level program or equivalent in health care, social science or recreation with an emphasis on GerontologyCurrent First Aid and CPRFood Handler’s certificatesCertification with GPAMontessori
