About this role
The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) is a senior clinical administrator who supports the Director of Nursing in overseeing nursing services within a long-term care facility. The role helps ensure continuous, 24/7 delivery of resident care, uphold resident rights and safety, and maintain regulatory compliance. The ADON also functions as a backup to the DON and supports leadership and operational activities of the nursing department.
