An advanced practice clinician (APN or PA) in the General Surgery department providing wound care for a caseload of inpatient and outpatient patients at Ingalls Memorial Hospital. The role delivers autonomous assessment, diagnosis, and initiation of wound-related treatment under a collaborative agreement while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, timely, and cost-effective care. The clinician also serves as a clinical resource, educator and preceptor for staff and students, participates in quality improvement, and may first-assist in the OR as needed.
