About this role

The Advanced Systems Safety Engineer at Vertical Aerospace is responsible for conducting safety assessments (FHAs, PSSAs, SSAs) and analyses (FTA, CMA, PRA, ZSA) for critical systems including Flight Controls and Battery Management. Reporting to the Principal System Safety Engineer, this role involves defining and tracking safety requirements, collaborating with various engineering teams to ensure safety integration, and contributing to the development of the aircraft safety case for certification. The position requires a strong background in safety-critical systems and familiarity with aircraft certification standards.
