About this role

Lilly seeks Data Architects to design data infrastructure enabling AI-native drug discovery through schemas, ontologies, and platform architectures. This role transforms raw scientific data into actionable assets for both human scientists and autonomous AI agents across chemical, biological, and automation-generated domains. Candidates will lead custom-fit solutions in data modeling, lakehouse architecture, or knowledge graph systems while partnering with engineering teams.

Responsibilities

Design and implement data models and ontologies for scientific discovery workflows
Architect data lakehouse solutions using Databricks and Snowflake platforms
Build optimized ETL pipelines with Spark and dbt for ML readiness
Develop knowledge graphs capturing molecular and experimental relationships
Partner with engineers to transition architectures to production-grade management
