About this role

The Airworthiness/Quality Engineer supports aviation system qualification, risk assessment, and acquisition decisions by reviewing technical data and developing key airworthiness documentation. This role ensures deliverables meet required standards and coordinates design review activities in accordance with program requirements while consulting on cost and performance trade-offs.

Responsibilities

Review qualification reports, test results, and risk assessments to mitigate flight safety issues.
Develop draft airworthiness documentation including flight releases and substantiation reports.
Analyze trade-off studies to assess cost, schedule, and performance impacts for acquisition decisions.
Coordinate airworthiness and design review activities to ensure compliance with program requirements.
Provide technical recommendations for source selection and contracting evaluations.
