About this role

The role provides office‑based system administration support for the Advanced Mission Planning Aid (AMPA) programme, delivering and maintaining the computing facilities required by the project team. The Systems Engineer will manage the project support environment, handle help‑desk queries, ensure system availability, backups and performance, and may perform occasional weekend patching and on‑call duties.

Responsibilities

Provide access to the Project Support Environment
Deliver internal help desk support to AMPA staff
Produce and maintain a schedule of system administration work
Monitor and report on environment performance and availability
Ensure data backup and restore capabilities for all systems
