About this role

As an Associate Analytics Engineer II at Planet, you will independently build and maintain analytics-ready data models using dbt, SQL, and Snowflake to support reporting and business decision-making. This role focuses on data quality, performance optimization, and collaborating with data analysts and stakeholders to transform raw data into clean, documented datasets. You will take ownership of well-scoped transformations while continuing to develop toward senior-level responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Independently develop Bronze and Silver layer dbt models following established standards
Implement comprehensive data quality tests including uniqueness and not null constraints
Optimize model performance and warehouse costs using filtering and incremental techniques
Collaborate with analysts to understand reporting requirements and define data structures
Maintain clear documentation for models and columns aligned with business terminology
