About this role

The Anesthesia Assistant supports physicians in delivering anesthetic care and sedation needs within the hospital as part of the Anesthesia Care Team. This role involves preparing and maintaining equipment, setting up intravenous lines, administering medications, and assisting with patient monitoring and recovery under the supervision of an Anesthesiologist. The position also includes facilitating patient transport, participating in quality management initiatives, and contributing to the education of students and residents.

Responsibilities

Provide anesthesia and sedation for patients within the hospital
Set up and manage intravenous lines, arterial lines, and anesthetic medications
Assist with airway management, intubation, and patient monitoring during procedures
