About this role

The Application Security Engineer conducts security assessments, code reviews, and vulnerability scanning for OhioHealth applications while integrating risk-based security into the software development lifecycle. This role collaborates with development teams and architects to maintain secure coding guidelines and respond to security incidents within the healthcare IT environment. The position reports to the Director of Cybersecurity without managing direct reports.

Responsibilities

Perform application security assessments and vulnerability scanning
Partner with development teams to triage security vulnerabilities
Develop and maintain secure coding and DevSecOps guidelines
Support threat modeling exercises and incident response
Contribute to security awareness training and exercises
