Ameren Illinois is seeking an Apprentice Substation Electrician to perform substation maintenance and construction activities, including equipment replacement, testing, and troubleshooting. The role involves responding to emergent substation problems, emergency callouts, and providing one‑man truck support during vacations.

Responsibilities

Perform substation maintenance and construction activities
Replace and overhaul oil, gas, and vacuum circuit breakers
Troubleshoot AC and DC control circuits and voltage regulators
Test and maintain AC battery chargers and DC battery systems
Respond to emergency substation callouts and conduct transformer testing

Skills

Qualifications
