About this role

The Art Preparator supports and assists with all aspects of art and exhibition space preparation, installation, and de-installation. This role requires a solid foundation of industry skills gained from employment at art museums, cultural institutions, or commercial galleries. The position reports to the Director of Art Operations and may take direction from the Registrar and Chief Curator.

Responsibilities

Support and assist art and exhibition space preparation, installation, and de-installation
Handle artworks during transportation, unpacking, and condition reporting
Install and de-install artwork using hanging, rigging, and tethering systems

Skills

Qualifications

Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Studio Art, Furniture Design, Product Design, Architecture, Engineering, etc.
