VALOR
The Assistant Coach supports the Head Coach by leading practice sessions, coaching athletes, and handling program development tasks. This role involves communication with students, parents, and staff, ensuring compliance with district and athletic regulations, and maintaining a safe, respectful environment.
VALOR (Preventing Violence Against Law Enforcement and Ensuring Officer Resilience and Survivability) is a Bureau of Justice Assistance-funded initiative dedicated to improving the safety, wellness, and resilience of law enforcement officers. The program, provided by the Institute for Intergovernmental Research (IIR), offers no-cost in-person and online training, research, and resources to help officers prevent and survive on-the-job threats. VALOR serves agencies nationwide with tools including eLearning courses, safety toolkits, a resource clearinghouse, and expert-led training events.
