A tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Sinophone Cinema and Media Studies at the University of Maryland’s School of Languages, Literatures, and Cultures, with a joint appointment in East Asian Languages & Cultures and Cinema & Media Studies beginning Fall 2026. The role is full-time and requires a PhD in hand at time of employment and native or near-native fluency in Mandarin and English. The successful candidate will contribute to the school’s interdisciplinary initiatives and strategic goals in teaching, scholarship, and service.
