Communities In Schools of Chicago is a nonprofit that embeds student support inside Chicago-area schools to help students stay in school and succeed. They partner with schools and community organizations to connect students with mentors, counselors, tutoring, and resources that address barriers to learning—such as attendance, food and housing insecurity, and basic needs. Through a network of volunteers and partner agencies, they deliver wraparound services and case management to create a coordinated plan for each student. The goal is to close achievement gaps, improve outcomes, and empower students to reach their full potential.
