Associate Planner

The Associate Planner serves as a journey-level professional within the Planning Division of the Community Development Department, responsible for executing a full range of planning activities in accordance with established priorities and procedures. This role involves conducting research, preparing reports and environmental impact studies, and processing planning entitlement applications to ensure compliance with city ordinances and state regulations. The position requires coordinating with various boards, agencies, and the public to manage development proposals and provide technical assistance.
