Intellia seeks an Associate Scientist in Lipid Nanoparticle (LNP) Discovery to lead production, scale-up, and characterization of next-generation lipid-based delivery systems for nucleic acid therapeutics. The role involves designing and optimizing formulations, screening novel lipids, and interpreting data to advance their pipeline to preclinical stages. Collaboration across internal groups and external partners is essential for supplying high-quality results for in vitro and in vivo studies.

Responsibilities

Design and formulate lipid nanoparticle systems for nucleic acid delivery
Optimize formulation processes using microfluidic mixing and scale-up approaches
Screen and evaluate novel ionizable lipids to improve delivery performance
Independently design and analyze preclinical studies
Interpret current literature to implement new features improving delivery
