About this role

The Associate Underwriter provides underwriting support for the Miscellaneous Surety line of business, handling tasks from submission intake through post-issuance servicing. This role involves reviewing bond applications, evaluating risk characteristics, preparing quotes, and ensuring documentation aligns with regulatory requirements and underwriting intent. Candidates will work closely with senior underwriters, internal teams, and retail agents to ensure accurate and timely bond issuance.

Responsibilities

Review incoming bond requests to determine completeness and eligibility
Assist with evaluation of risk characteristics and obligee requirements
Prepare bond quotes and recommendations for underwriter review
Process new business and renewal bond requests including financial reviews
Ensure bond documentation aligns with regulatory requirements and underwriting intent

Skills

Qualifications
