About this role

Re:Build Optimation is seeking an Automation & Controls Engineer Co-op/Intern to support real-world industrial automation projects from concept through production. The role involves collaborating with engineering and project management teams to develop control system architectures, create electrical drawings, and configure PLC code and HMI applications. This on-site position in Rochester, NY, and/or Rush, NY offers hands-on experience and mentorship from senior engineers across Spring, Summer, and Fall 2027.

Responsibilities

Develop control system architectures and P&IDs for automation projects
Create electrical drawings and schematics using AutoCAD Electrical
Develop PLC code and configure HMI applications for industrial systems
