About this role

As an Automation Engineer at C&W Services, you will support the site maintenance team to ensure the operational performance and efficiency of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) control systems. You will partner with maintenance teams to troubleshoot and maintain equipment such as conveyors, sortation systems, and PLC platforms while serving as the first level of escalation for automation issues. The role involves implementing solutions for complex problems, planning new technology installations, and providing technical consultation for capital projects within a safe, modern facility.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and maintain Material Handling Equipment control systems
Program and commission HMIs, PLCs, and variable frequency drives
Interpret and modify electrical and mechanical system drawings
Monitor MHE metrics and assess control system reliability
Coordinate new technology installations with vendors and leadership
