About this role

As an Automation Engineer, you will support the site maintenance team in ensuring the operational performance and efficiency of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) control systems. This role involves partnering with maintenance teams to troubleshoot, maintain, and modify hardware and software solutions for complex equipment while providing technical consultation for capital projects. You will act as a key escalation point for automation issues and collaborate with operations leadership to resolve electrical problems and improve system reliability.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and maintain Material Handling Equipment control systems
Program and commission HMIs PLCs and variable frequency drives
Modify software projects for industrial networks and control systems
Consult on capital projects for new technology installations
Monitor MHE metrics and resolve equipment performance deficiencies

Skills

Qualifications

High School DiplomaAssociate degree in Electronic TechnologyBachelor degree in STEM field3+ years experience with PLCs and VFDsExperience with SCADA systems and KPIs
