About this role

An Intermediate Automation Engineer will support the design and engineering of automation systems for Oil & Gas projects under the direction of the Discipline Lead. The role involves creating technical documentation such as loop diagrams and P&IDs, selecting instrumentation, and ensuring compliance with international standards during the project lifecycle. Candidates will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver engineering solutions while supporting construction and commissioning activities on-site.

Responsibilities

Review and guide 2D and 3D CADD design and drafting to ensure quality and compliance
Develop and verify Instrument Loop Diagrams, control panel designs, and wiring drawings
Prepare installation details, instrument layouts, and Fire & Gas detection plans
Perform detailed instrumentation engineering including equipment selection and sizing calculations
Support engineering estimation activities and evaluate technical accuracy of vendor bids
