Automotive Mechanic

This position involves performing skilled diagnostic and repair work on a variety of light municipal fleet vehicles at the journeyman level. The role includes diagnosing electrical and mechanical disorders, rebuilding automotive equipment, and modifying vehicles for specialized use such as police cruisers. The incumbent is responsible for operating wrecker/tow trucks for emergency service calls and maintaining accurate records of labor and parts expenditures.
