About this role

Airbus Helicopters is seeking an Autonomy Artificial Intelligence Engineer to lead the development of AI-driven perception and vision-based localization algorithms for Uncrewed Aerial Systems. The role involves designing end-to-end ML pipelines, embedding models into real-time computing platforms, and ensuring safety compliance within complex aerospace and defense contexts. This position reports to the Research and Innovation Leader while collaborating closely with engineering departments across the Getafe site.

Responsibilities

Lead design and implementation of AI-driven perception computer vision algorithms
Develop and validate algorithms for GNSS-denied navigation and localization
Build end-to-end data collection and training pipelines for deep learning models
Oversee deployment of AI/ML models to real-time embedded computing platforms
Drive interface design between AI functions and flight management systems using MBSE
