AVID Tutor

This part-time role involves facilitating high-level, Socratic-style group tutorial sessions for Junior High and High School students in the AVID college-preparatory program. The position requires processing student tutorial requests to determine appropriate groupings and working independently with student groups under the direction of the classroom teacher. The tutor will help students achieve conceptual understanding through questioning and provide positive reinforcement for academic growth.
