About this role

This role involves leading Asia Asset Liability Management (ALM) initiatives by assessing risks, optimizing the balance sheet, and developing investment strategies within Canada's leading insurance organization. The incumbent partners with senior stakeholders including the CFO and CRO to manage tax, capital, and liquidity constraints while collaborating with the global Finance team.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute investment strategies for balance sheet optimization across Asia markets.
Monitor asset mix and duration while recommending corrective actions for benchmark breaches.
Collaborate with regional functions to enhance ALCO risk and investment reports.
Implement hedging strategies to manage risks and optimize returns.
Lead cross-functional stakeholder initiatives on ALM, pricing, and risk management matters.
