The Student Technician Training Program (STTP) is a part-time, temporary training position with the Foundation for California Community Colleges’ Smog Check Referee Program. It provides a structured, hands-on 240-hour training experience in a real-world environment for automotive students preparing to become professional smog technicians. The program is designed to build practical emissions inspection capability and professional readiness within the automotive test and repair field.
