Basisarts

A basisarts (resident/starting physician) works under the supervision of an experienced psychiatrist at an acute psychiatric admission department within the Dutch prison system. The role involves admitting new patients, prescribing medication, conducting psychiatric assessments, and engaging in complex case consultations with justice sector colleagues.
