Beach Lifeguard Trainee and Beach Lifeguard I

The City of Oceanside is seeking candidates for Beach Lifeguard Trainee and Beach Lifeguard I positions to ensure public safety at beaches, piers, and ocean areas. Trainees will attend an Open Water Lifeguarding Academy to learn rescue techniques, first aid, and safety enforcement, while Lifeguard I roles involve performing water rescues, administering first aid, and enforcing regulations. The position is temporary, limited to 999 hours per fiscal year, and does not include medical benefits.
