About this role
The Behavioral Health Specialist I provides direct therapeutic care and safety for children and adolescents in an inpatient/partial psychiatric setting as part of an interdisciplinary treatment team. The role supports the formulation and implementation of a structured therapeutic milieu, documents observations, and assists with patient transitions and family interactions under RN supervision. Employees are expected to model institutional values and participate in unit activities, groups, and crisis response.
