This role provides superior customer service to high-profile songwriters, composers, and music publishers by proactively managing their catalogues and ensuring the accurate and timely payment of royalties. The Account Executive collaborates closely with internal teams to maintain high service levels, resolve member queries, and support the retention of SOCAN's creative community. The position requires fluency in both English and French to interact regularly with diverse members and stakeholders.
SOCiety of Composers, Authors and Music Publishers of Canada (SOCAN) is a Canadian performance rights organization that licenses the public performance, broadcast and online communication of musical works. It issues licenses to businesses, broadcasters, streaming services and live venues, collects license fees, and distributes royalties to songwriters, composers and music publishers. SOCAN also provides an online repertoire search, member services for registration and royalty reporting, and advocates for creators’ rights nationally and internationally.
