Biocentre Automation Technician

AstraZeneca is seeking a Biocentre Automation Technician to establish and support automation capabilities within its Biobank and Biocentre in Gaithersburg, Maryland. This laboratory-based role focuses on implementing aliquoting systems and automated freezer storage during the pilot phase while ensuring readiness for the official launch. The position requires close collaboration with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and global biobank teams to build, maintain, and continuously improve automation processes. The successful candidate will also support training, documentation, and the management of human biological samples in compliance with global standards.
