Bioinformatics Engineer

As a Bioinformatics Engineer at Pilgrim, you will develop methods and software to characterize sequencing data from the ARGUS system, building metagenomic analysis pipelines that process reads efficiently at the edge. You will validate detection accuracy to ensure operators can trust the system's reports while optimizing performance for onboard hardware. The role involves investigating ambiguous findings, benchmarking detection performance, and evaluating new algorithms to improve computational efficiency.
