Biological Administrator II

The Biological Administrator II serves as the lead molecular biologist for the state, providing senior supervisory and technical management for the Molecular Microbiology, General Microbiology, Environmental Microbiology, and TB/Mycobacteriology sections at the Bureau of Public Health Laboratories. This role oversees advanced sequencing activities, manages grant activities, and ensures compliance with quality assurance and safety standards while coordinating with internal and external public health programs. The position is responsible for recruiting, training, and evaluating staff, as well as maintaining laboratory operations and performance expectations.
