Borealisbio
The Biomarker & Bioanalytical Development Lead serves as the senior scientific owner of bioanalytical and biomarker strategy for Borealis' RNA therapeutics portfolio, overseeing assay design, development, and validation for nonclinical and early clinical trials. This hands-on leadership role involves preparing for upcoming Phase 1/2 trials, managing external CRO partnerships, and building a high-performing internal team to drive translational data and program decisions. The position requires deep expertise in bioanalytical methods, regulatory compliance, and cross-functional collaboration to support IND-enabling studies and clinical development.
Borealis Biosciences is a biotech company developing RNA medicines that selectively target kidney cells to treat chronic kidney diseases with large unmet need. Founded by an experienced drug‑discovery team (building on the Chinook Therapeutics group acquired by Novartis), Borealis combines targeted RNA delivery, translational systems biology, data science, chemistry, DMPK and pharmacology to pursue validated causal targets not addressable by traditional small molecules or biologics. Backed by Versant Ventures, Novartis and Westlake Bio, the company launched with a $150M Series A and is headquartered in Vancouver, BC.
