Biosafety Officer

The Biosafety Officer at Lovelace Biomedical Research Institute will protect employees, contractors, visitors, the public, and the environment from biohazardous exposures and ensure compliance with Select Agents and Toxins regulations and other safety guidelines. The role includes risk assessments, lab inspections, protocol reviews, training development, waste management, emergency response, and serving as the Responsible Official for the Institute’s Select Agent Program.
