Budget Analyst

The Budget Analyst performs moderately complex analytical and technical work to coordinate the development, implementation, and management of the City's operating and capital improvement budgets. This role ensures budgets support strategic financial objectives and long-term planning by guiding departments through the annual budget cycle, reviewing submissions, forecasting revenues and expenditures, and monitoring cash flow. The position also involves identifying variances, contributing to special projects, and ensuring compliance with legal and financial transparency standards.
