Building Official

The Building Official administers the City's Building & Safety Division and Code Enforcement program under the direction of the Development Services Director. This management role oversees building safety, construction regulation, plan review, inspection, and full-service code enforcement while supervising staff and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws. The position involves representing the City in regulatory and judicial proceedings, managing sensitive enforcement matters, and providing technical assistance to the public and industry professionals.
