The Conference of State Bank Supervisors (CSBS) is the nationwide organization of financial regulators from all 50 U.S. states, the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico, American Samoa, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. CSBS supports state banking supervisors through policy development, research, training, advocacy, and supervisory tools, including administration of the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System (NMLS). The organization coordinates state positions on federal issues, develops model regulations and best practices, and convenes regulators, industry, and stakeholders to address emerging risks in the financial system.
