About this role

The Business Line VP will provide local compliance guidance for Japan Fixed Income, ensuring effective controls and risk mitigation across Fixed Income and listed derivatives. Reporting to the FIC Japan Compliance Head, the role works closely with business lines, other compliance teams, and regional/global counterparts to embed regulatory requirements and support proactive engagement on compliance matters.

Responsibilities

Provide subject matter expertise in Fixed Income and listed derivatives
Ensure effective check and challenge of business on applicable regulations
Identify and mitigate horizon risks before they materialize
Liaise with regional and global counterparts to implement consistent requirements
Oversee compliance training and embed new regulatory requirements
