Buyer

This specialized position is responsible for the procurement of commodities and services for the City in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, rules, and regulations. The role involves consulting with department personnel on procurement needs, processing purchase requisitions, and managing solicitations from inception through bid award. The Buyer works under the direction of the Procurement Manager to ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures while seeking continuous improvement in efficiency and cost reduction.
