Buyer

This position serves as the central point of contact for assigned areas of responsibility, processing and validating requests for supplies made by assigned departments or specific product lines. The Buyer creates purchase orders and ensures all purchase orders are confirmed for pricing, unit of measure, and availability. The role involves resolving pricing discrepancies, backorder issues, and supplier-related concerns while maintaining vendor relations and supporting process improvements.
