About this role

As a Designer on the New Product Introduction (NPI) team at nVent, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance product development, manufacturing, and customer solutions through inventive electrical designs. The role focuses on creating detailed 2D and 3D CAD models, ensuring design intent and manufactability, and supporting prototype development and testing. You will maintain drawing standards within PLM systems while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives for securing sensitive equipment and critical processes.

Responsibilities

Create and revise detailed 2D and 3D CAD models and drawings for components and assemblies
Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure design intent and manufacturability
Maintain drawing standards and documentation in accordance with company and industry guidelines
Support prototype development and testing by providing accurate design data and documentation
Manage and organize CAD files and design documentation within PLM systems

Skills

Qualifications

Associate degree in CAD or Mechanical DesignBachelor's degree in related field preferred5+ years of experience in CAD design
