The Campus Safety Security Member serves as a visible, non-sworn safety presence on Smith College's campus, acting as a liaison between the college community and the public. The role supports Campus Safety Officers and Dispatchers by responding to calls for service, conducting patrols, and assisting with events and emergencies. Security Members help foster a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment consistent with the department’s community-policing philosophy.
