About this role

The University of Minnesota Department of Anesthesiology is seeking a full-time ABA board-certified or eligible Cardiac Anesthesiologist to join their quaternary care academic institution. The role involves working with cardiothoracic anesthesiology fellows, residents, and CRNAs to care for patients undergoing complex cardiac and thoracic procedures, including heart and lung transplants. The position offers opportunities for research, quality improvement, and formal teaching within a collaborative academic environment.

Responsibilities

Provide anesthesia care for adult and congenital cardiac surgical procedures
Mentor and teach cardiothoracic anesthesiology fellows, residents, and CRNAs
Conduct clinical research in advanced hemodynamic monitoring and coagulation management

Skills

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited ACGME Anesthesiology residency and/or fellowship training programBoard eligible/certified in Anesthesiology and Pediatric Anesthesiology with the ABAPediatric cardiac anesthesiology training preferredLicensed or ability to obtain Minnesota Board of Medical Practice LicensureAbility to obtain/maintain DEA certification in the State of Minnesota
